CyberSafeKids – CyberBreak event 20th Oct, 2023

CyberBreak is a fun filled family break where you turn off your smart devices (mobiles, laptops, iPads, computers, gaming consoles) for 24-hours. This is our fourth year running CyberBreak and we want it to be our biggest one yet – we are encouraging all schools and families across Ireland to sign up for the day. CyberBreak seeks to raise awareness about the importance of having a happy and healthy balance between our online and offline lives.

Helium Arts is offering FREE Online Creative Art Programmes (for children and young people ages 6-15 with *lifelong physical health conditions)

Registrations are now OPEN for our FREE ONLINE Autumn / Winter Art Programmes – A chance for children and young people (ages 6-15) with *lifelong physical health conditions to explore their creativity and grow in confidence, while making new friends and having fun along the way!

Our online programme consists of both on and offline creative activities and is available nationwide so children and young people can take part wherever they are!

ONLINE Autumn Mid-Term Camp for Teenagers 31 Oct – 4 Nov 

Ages 13-15

Includes:

  • 3 days of interactive sessions on Tues, Thurs and Sat
  • Optional time in between sessions to get creative at your own pace!

 

ONLINE Winter Art Programme for 6-12 Year Olds Nov 11 – Dec 16

Option 1: Ages 6-8

Option 2: Ages 9-12

Includes:

  • Weekly activities delivered by surprise postal drops
  • 2 online sessions with the artist (optional)
  • A chance to sign-up to a Post Pal exchange (optional)

*A lifelong physical health condition is one which can be treated and managed but usually not cured.  Examples include diabetes, epilepsy, cystic fibrosis, allergies, heart conditions, chronic asthma, spina bifida, juvenile arthritis, rare or complex conditions and many more.

Meath Partnership IGNITE Training Programme: Free Courses in Hospitality, Agriculture, Sports & Fitness and Horticulture

Click on the poster link below for information and contact details about the free LEADER Funded Training Programme for young people in Meath. The age range is 15-27 years (for under 18’s consent will be sought). Participants will get a certificate of completion and the beauty of the courses is that there are no exams, so no pressure and they are practical. There is one on one support for CV and Career Prep and it is a way for young people to gain experience in a chosen area in order to find out if they want to pursue a career in that field.

I AM BABA (for babies aged 0-12 months) Meath Tour Information October 2023

Meath CYPSC is delighted to announce that the I AM BABA tour is coming to Meath on 17th October (Kells), 18th October (Navan), 19th October (Laytown) and 20th October (Trim). Please click on the relevant posters below for more information and booking details.

I AM BABA is a theatre adventure for babies created by internationally renowned theatre director Anna Newell (www.annanewell.ie) and composer David Goodall. Their shows for early years have been seen on six continents, off-Broadway and in every single Sure Start in Belfast.

I AM BABA – a magical adventure of song, lights and textures for babies aged 0-12 months. It’s a show about identity, agency and personhood for babies.

I AM BABA has been touring since 2017 and has been performed more than 500 times in Ireland and toured to Canada in 2022.

This 2023 tour is more than 14 weeks long, tours to 20 counties and more than 1000 babies! It is funded by the Arts Council of Ireland and is in partnership with venues across Ireland and with the National Network of Children & Young People’s Services Committees (www.cypsc.ie).
